On September 26, 2014, my brother, Norbert T. Wierszewski, lost his battle with cholangiocarcinoma.
He was more than my brother—he was my mentor, my role model, and the person who helped shape my path in life. Norb taught me everything I know about the metal recycling industry, but more importantly, he instilled in me the values of hard work, integrity, and doing right by others.
When we lost him, it left a void that could never be filled.
But from that loss came purpose.
The Wierszewski Foundation was created to honor Norb’s legacy in a way that reflects who he was—a man who showed up for people, who worked hard, and who always gave back.
Today, our mission is simple but deeply meaningful:
to support individuals and families affected by cancer and to serve the autism community here in Michigan.
These causes are not just part of our mission—they are part of our story.
Through every act of support, every family helped, and every life touched, we carry Norb’s spirit forward. What began as a way to cope with loss has become something much greater—a source of hope, compassion, and community impact.
And because we are proud to operate as a 100% volunteer-run organization, every dollar donated goes directly to helping those in need right here in our local Michigan communities.
We do this work in his name.
We do it with purpose.
And we do it knowing—
Norb would be proud.
It would be impossible to bring our mission to life without the incredible support of our friends and family.
From our annual Norbert T Wierszewski Memorial Golf Outing (#NTWMGO) to our holiday events and community initiatives, every fundraiser is powered by dedicated people who give their time, energy, and heart to make a difference. Their commitment is what turns ideas into impact.
We are proud to be a 100% volunteer-run organization, which means every single dollar donated goes directly toward supporting individuals and families in need right here in Michigan.
This is more than a foundation—it’s a community.
And we invite you to be part of it.
Join us in making a difference.
